Max is a leader in his field and has vast knowledge and an impressive portfolio of experience gained through more than twenty years in various senior management roles across the health sector. Currently a Portfolio Manager with Whaikaha – the Ministry of Disabled People – and Manager of Dunedin Community Mediation (a voluntary mediation service) Max brings to the team over ten years senior management experience in the aged care sector, including residential aged care, retirement village and home and community support services.
Max holds a degree in Business Studies and an MA in Social Policy, and has lectured at both undergraduate and post-graduate level in the areas of health sector management, financial and strategic planning, conflict resolution and mediation, and change management. He holds a particular interest in health service redesign and lead a three-year review and redesign of the service delivery model of one of NZ’s largest NGO providers of mental health and disability support services.
Max has previously held roles as a Policy, Research and Communications Advisor for Labour’s Economic Development and Associate Health Spokesperson, Dr David Clark, and as CEO of Kidney Health NZ. He brings to the team an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation in aged residential care.
